Hey Borderhounds! I know... I feel as though I am FOREVER apologizing for the span of time between BrimBLOG posts. Honestly, I love spending the time to write to whomever wants to read - It has just been SO extremely busy, that I have barely had the chance to breathe! I'm never going to complain about opportunity - Trust me, when it comes knocking... I'm answering the door with a fresh box of Entenmann's cake for the occasion (you older generation of readers will get what I'm talking about). I remember when I initially started up the blog, I would write about
anything at any time - anywhere! Truthfully, it was responsible for a REALLY large portion of my web traffic; but along the way... it lost a bit of its luster when my schedule became as hectic as it is... and continues to be. That being said - I entitled this BrimBLOG the Photo Dump; however it is meant to shine the spotlight on a few of the recent photographers I've worked with as well as share work that I may not have posted elsewhere up to this point. Also, I post a lot of content all over the place - So PLEASE don't message me telling me that I re-posted something; or if I post something a week later to social media... I try to be cognizant of everything; but I am just a mere mortal man with a WHOLE lot of things on his plate... and mind! Hope you'll enjoy everything and keep the complaints to yourselves lmao...!!! You can also keep up with my more regular posts on Instagram - I try and make sure to stay on that as much as possible as it is the ONLY social media that I regularly spend time on.
Now anyone who knows me - knows that I LOVE doing shoots... believe it or not, it relaxes me. Anything that takes me away from my normal schedule is a G-dsend, so being out and about taking pictures is a GREAT way to spend some time! What is even cooler - is that I work with SO many killer companies who send me incredible clothing to shoot in including Leviath Clothing (Check out my NEW Leviath | Brimstone Collaboration T-Shirt: HERE), Affliction Clothing, Relentless Betrayal, Transparent Sunglasses, Foolish Mortal and Future Legend to name just a few! Honestly, life could be a lot worse.
Now more so than what I wear, or even myself - The real superstar in every shoot is the photographer themselves. Anyone can take a picture; but it takes real talent to create art. Knowing and understanding your model and their angles, lighting, location... it is a science that many attempt; however only a handful truly exemplify. I have the pleasure of working with some of the best photographers here on Long Island, New York when I'm home and not touring! Each one shoots me in their own unique way that blows my mind. Below is just a small taste from a few incredible photographers that I would like to spotlight including JR Messina, Cristina Pinto, Errol Gould, Jay Bauman, Roy Arthur, Coronado Studios, Nicole Heid, Laura Paul, Ginny Singh, Tom Bee, Timothy Warrington and KBR Portraits. There are SO many more that I would love to highlight - and I certainly will... as the time allows. In the meantime, I'm sure they will pop up around my site here (I like to keep it fresh) as well as in media and social media - So please keep checking back if you are interested in seeing more!
A handful of these photos have been used for spreads in magazines, or online - You can see a few by visiting my Scriptures page and checking out some media there; to get you started there is a big article on me in Jewish Life Now and Podcast Magazine to name a couple!
Also... for those of you who are NOT aware - You can use Brimstone GIFs via ALL of your social media! If you type in Brimstone or gotBrim and something doesn't pop up right away... try typing @ghr or @brimstone while searching GIFs and they should pop up for you!!! Millions of Brimstone GIFs have been used as you can see on Giphy - They are now available on Tenor as well... so iPhone users can play Brim-based reindeer games now more often as well via chats and social - How Exciting! LoL... Anyway - that is it for me right now. Hope you are all doing well and I appreciate you, all of you - Thank you for your repeated support! - Brim
